Botanical Brewfest is a GREEN EVENT! We're committed to having an environmentally responsible event and are working closely with our partners to plan and implement an event which will reflect green event best practices. Our goal is a zero waste event. The key actions being undertaken are:
Reduction: We encourage all vendors to use reusable containers and supplies such as kegs, jockey boxes and reusable cooking utensils. We want our vendors to reduce single use items.
Reuse: We make every attempt to reuse items year after year.
Recycle: All single use food items are compostable. All single use beverage containers are recyclable. Food vendors are not permitted to bring in their own single use serving containers. All are provided and are compostable. We recycle all water bottles, beer bottles, cans and other items as much as possible. All food that isn't enjoyed will be composted into garden soil.
How you can help? Carpool and reduce the number of cars travelling to the Arboretum and participate fully in our efforts by recycling and composting when requested.
