What is Biergarten Thursdays?
Biergarten Thursdays is a relaxed, adults-only evening at the scenic Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. Enjoy a varied selection of craft beers from local breweries, paired with flavorful heavy appetizers, while soaking in garden views and golden hour vibes. This event supports our nonprofit group, Friends of the Arboretum, with proceeds helping to fund future enhancements and programs that keep the gardens thriving.
Where is the event held?
The event takes place in the beautiful Xeriscape Garden, located near the Environmental Education Center on the east side of the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. Guests should enter through the East Main Entrance Gate and follow signs past the East kiosk for check-in.

What time does the event start and end?
The event begins promptly at 6:00 p.m., so please arrive on time to get settled and seated to best enjoy the full experience. The event concludes around 8:00 p.m.
Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?
Yes, we recommend purchasing tickets in advance as this event typically sells out. If any tickets remain, limited same-day sales may be available online in-advance.

What does my ticket include?
Your ticket includes unlimited 4 ounce pours of 6 to 8 local craft beer varieties, along with a light meal. Yard games will be set up for fun with friends. Admission to the Arboretum is included, and you're welcome to explore the gardens before or after the tasting. While we aim to offer a few vegetarian-friendly options, we may not be able to accommodate all dietary restrictions or allergies. Thank you for understanding.
What’s the seating situation?
Seating is available at big tables in the Xeriscape Garden and nearby patio areas. No need to bring your own chairs or blankets, just come ready to unwind.
Are kids or pets allowed?
No, this is a 21+ event. No children or pets, please, but service animals are welcome.
What’s the parking situation?
Free parking is available in the main Arboretum parking lot. Follow event signage for directions.
Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?

What if there's rain in the forecast?
Typically, we do not need to cancel the event due to poor weather. Should there be rain forecasted, activities will take place indoors at the Environmental Education Center near the café space. If the weather clears, feel free to bring a raincoat or umbrella and enjoy a stroll through the gardens.
