Sculpture Garden

The Sculpture Garden Vision –

An inspirational place to experience the creative expression of global diversity and art interacting with nature.

Beginning in 2011, the Foundation, with the assistance of renowned Kansas sculptor Kwan Wu, received a collection of 25 sculptures valued at $3,770,000. The majority of these sculptures are by Chinese artists who donated their work as part of a U.S.-Chinese Cultural Exchange with the Foundation. Twenty-three sculptures are on exhibit in temporary space at the Overland Park Arboretum.

The Foundation’s Growing to Inspire capital campaign includes Phase 1 of the Sculpture Garden’s permanent home. This world-class garden will attract artists and visitors from around the world. Also included in the plan are an entry pavilion, an arts center, a performance amphitheater, seven open-air pavilions and seven seating niches. Projected total cost to build the Sculpture Garden is nearly $7,000,000.
