About Friends of the Farmstead

A community of passionate people on a mission to enhance and enrich the Farmstead for today and for future generations.

Friends of the Farmstead (FOF) is a membership group operating as part of The Arts & Recreation Foundation of Overland Park, Kansas. Designed to support the Farmstead, the Friends group provides annual membership opportunities, maintains a donor program, provides special events throughout the season, and supports educational and volunteer programs.

Members enjoy free admission to the Farmstead for the entire family and discounts on admission to Pumpkin Hollow and Night of the Living Farm.

Membership dues provide funding for programs, capital improvements, and the  annual special events that make Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead even more special for guests.

There are volunteer opportunities for those who want to get the most out of their membership. Whether it's being on the team to plan for the Farmstead's upcoming 40th Anniversary season or helping produce one of the signature fundraising events, or serving on the Advisory Board, volunteers have fun while making the Farmstead such a wonderful part of our community.
