When and where is the event?
2026 date will be announced soon. The event is held at Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead. 13800 Switzer Rd, Overland Park, KS. Check-in begins at 7:00 AM in front of the main entry building. Races begin promptly at 8:00 AM.
What is Georgia’s Chicken Run?
It’s a lighthearted, family-friendly fun run where participants can walk, jog, or flap their wings across a short course at the Farmstead. All ages are welcome, from 0 to 100.
What do I get with my registration?
Each registered runner will receive a race t-shirt (while supplies last—see below), a medal to show off the acheivement, and post-race fun and access to all the Farmstead’s activities.
Will I get a t-shirt?
If you registered before the early bird deadline, you are guaranteed a current year design race shirt. If you registered after, we’ll have a limited number of shirts available first come, first served.
Can I purchase extra shirts?
Extra t-shirts may be purchased online in advance only prior to the early bird deadline. It is not necessary to register a runner for the race to purchase a shirt.
Can spectators attend?
Absolutely! Spectators are welcome to cheer on their runners free of charge. Please enter through the Tour door, just west of the main entrance. Standard Farmstead Admission fees begin at 9:00 AM, so come early!
Will there be food and drinks?
Yes—come hungry! You’ll find a delicious variety of breakfast and snack options available for additional purchase. Here is a list of the fun offerings from the 2025 event:
- Farmstead Concessions – Grab hearty breakfast favorites like scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, sausage bites, and breakfast nachos, plus hot & iced coffee (vanilla, caramel, hazelnut, toasted marshmallow), and refreshing flavored lemonades (blue raspberry & strawberry).
- Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken – Serving up their famous chicken tenders and legs—a crowd favorite!
- Hiland Dairy Snack Station – Enjoy chocolate milks and vanilla yogurts to kick off your morning!
- WaterOne’s Quench Buggy – Stay hydrated with fresh, cold water on tap.
- General Store & Ice Cream Parlor – Open and ready with sweet treats, snacks, and souvenirs.
What if I missed online registration?
No problem! Walk-up registration is available onsite at the entry barn starting at 7:00 AM on race day.
