Welcome to the 13th Annual Stems: A Garden Soirée!

Saturday, August 8 - 6:00 - 11:00 p.m.

Here is some information to make your experience extra enjoyable.

Thank you for joining us this year! The Arts & Recreation Foundation of Overland Park relies on the funds raised at Stems to provide essential dollars to support arts programming and the places you love in Overland Park - Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead and the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. And this year we are celebrating that the Foundation has been doing this for 25 years!

We know the world has changed since we were last together at Stems, so we have planned accordingly, and your Stems experience may be just a little different than in years past – but all instituted for the safety and peace of mind of all in attendance. Our Stems support staff (Arboretum employees, volunteers serving beverages and directing guests, and our food partners) will all be wearing masks. We have "spread out" the food and beverage stations and spaced tables farther apart. There will be ample supplies of disinfectant wipes to clean surfaces throughout the evening.

So much of what we love about Stems remains – your souvenir wine glass, food and beverages, music by Funk Syndicate, beautiful plein air paintings for sale, Up Up & Away creating balloon art, KC Caricature Artist, photo booth (no props) and the fireworks display.

  • Your ticket will admit you to Stems beginning at 6:00 p.m. – one hour before general-admission ticket holders are admitted at 7:00 p.m. You'll have a head start on all the fun.
  • Be sure your VIP Parking Pass is visible when you enter the Arboretum gate. You will be directed to the VIP parking area.
  • At entry, your wristband will admit you to the "Exclusive Patron Experience" – this year in the Train Garden.

Check out the STEMS MAP before arriving to see where the food and beverage stations and entertainment are located.

To add to your collection of Stems wine glasses, stop by the Visitors Center to purchase!

Overland Park emergency personnel - including police, EMT's and CERT volunteers - will be on premises for the safety of all.
