Description:

Ken O’Dell, Arboretum Volunteer and Regional Leader of the Kansas Native Plant Society, will provide a lovely and informative talk on the plants you may see walking through the prairie. The Flint Hills is an area in east central Kansas that stretches from the Nebraska border on the north to Oklahoma on the south. This area contains over 900 species of plants that thrive and survive in the rocky terrain that has avoided the farmers plow because of the rocky rolling hills.
