Nights at the Arboretum

Come roam the trails with your flashlight, look at the stars, make s’mores on the patio and enjoy nocturnal educational opportunities after dark at the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens.

It's like being a kid again! Only you don't need to go home when the street lights come on.

Night Time Arboretum Etiquette
  • Please enjoy the Arboretum during our night time events. As the majority of the grounds are not lighted, use caution while exploring.
  • If using flashlight while walking the trails, please don’t point the light in someone’s eyes.
  • For their safety, children under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash and are allowed only on mulch trails. Please clean up after your dog. Dogs are prohibited in the Environmental Education Visitor Center.
  • Please do not collect, remove or damage any natural material including seeds, flowers, fruits, feathers or plant material.
