A Beautiful Vision for Our City...

Art Reception

On May 13, 2002, the Governing Body of the City of Overland Park voted to accept the Public Art Master Plan (download.pdf) to guide the cultural development of our City. Designed by Sabatini and Associates of Lawrence, Kansas, this plan incorporates the entire City and anticipates a diverse mix of art media, styles and content. Each site has been evaluated for traffic patterns and patron usage to ensure maximum impact and delight.

Recognizing the need for art to be enjoyed by citizens and visitors alike; the Governing Body and the Friends of Overland Park Arts hope the addition of art to our community's public spaces will be heralded as a visionary initiative in a City known for pioneering leadership.
